Aloha Health & Wellness LLC

Elevating Lives through Aquatic Therapy and Holistic Wellness
Serving in Martin, Palm Beach and St. Lucie Counties
Distinguished by respect, compassion and connection
Aloha Health & Wellness LLC was founded to help adults age with positivity, purpose, and a strong focus on preserving quality of life. As a licensed occupational therapist, Olivia has spent three years working with older adults in a variety of settings. Over time, one truth stood out: when individuals are supported with the right movement, environment, and encouragement, their independence, joy, and quality of life can flourish. Inspired by this, and by the healing power of water and movement, Olivia founded Aloha Health & Wellness LLC — blending occupational therapy principles with aquatic exercise and wellness-focused programs. The mission: to help adults stay strong, balanced, and connected to the activities that give life meaning. Grounded in the values of respect, compassion, and the spirit of aloha, Aloha Health & Wellness LLC offers more than just fitness — it’s a space where adults are seen, supported, and empowered.

Why Aquatic Exercise?
buoyancy: decreases weight bearing and joint compression forces (meaning happy connective tissue), decreases fear of falling and blood pooling
hydrostatic pressure: decreases pain and edema, increases venous return and circulation
resistance: more muscle fibers are recruited, increasing muscle tone and endurance, cardiopulmonary system is sending more blood and oxygen to muscles, better muscle balance

Who will benefit?
Adults with arthritis, recovering from injury or surgery, neurological impairments and older adults with weakness, balance impairments or chronic pain. Contact us to see if aquatic exercise is right for you!

Meet Our Therapist
Founded by Olivia, a licensed occupational therapist with experience in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings, our approach combines occupational therapy principles with the healing benefits of water and movement. With a background in kinesiology, psychology and occupational therapy, and certified through Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute, Olivia’s mission is to help adults stay strong, balanced, and connected to activities that bring meaning to their lives. Through respect, compassion, and the spirit of aloha, we provide a space where adults are supported and empowered to thrive in their journey towards healthy aging and independence.

Meet Lola
In March of 2025, Lola suffered a stroke while doing yoga in her home. Her stroke affected her left side strength, sensation and coordination. She had difficulty sitting upright, maintaining attention, visually scanning across a room and coordinating functional movements. I feel incredibly lucky to have met Lola on her first morning in rehab. Her humor, motivation, love and compassion was evident in each session she shared with me and the other therapists. Her passion for the water and movement was clear. She and her husband, Rico, shared stories about their times in the Keys, diving, running (and winning races), planting coral and simply enjoying life in the water. Rico and I had a conversation at the rehab, soon before discharge. He told me how he and Lola would love to have her participate in aquatic therapy in the future. I was eager to share that I was recently aquatic therapy certified and that Lola should keep in touch, who knows what the future could hold! Lola continued to work tirelessly in rehab in order to return home.
A few months later, Rico updated me on Lola’s progress: walking functional distances in her home with minimal assistance, standing herself up from her wheelchair, tolerating increased left arm motion, making their house a home and learning to adapt her daily activities for more functional independence. He also mentioned their pool and jacuzzi remodeling. These updates replanted the idea of opening an aquatics business in my head.
A couple more months passed and the pool was ready, needless to say Lola was too.
Through continued research into starting a business, Aloha Health & Wellness LLC came to life. Lola was going to be my first client, and we could finally get this girl back in the water!
On August 21st, Lola took her first steps back into the water. The smile on her face (and mine) says it all. Since this first visit, we have snorkeled, flutter kicked, floated, walked, dunked and mostly laughed all in the pool. Lola has grown more confident in herself. Her beauty inside and out naturally grows when she enters the water. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this water woman!
